Kong Wei (1977- ) received the bachelor’ and mater’ degree in control theory and control engineering from Qingdao University of Science & Technology, China, in 1998 and 2001 respectively, and the PhD degree in the Pattern Recognition and Intelligence System from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2005. After her graduation, she joined the College of Information Engineering of Shanghai Maritime University as a lecturer (2005-2007) and from 2008 she served as an associate professor of bioinformatics. From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a visitor scholar in Biomedical Informatics Lab at the Harvard University, USA.
Her currently research interests lie in the bioinformatics areas including Microarray gene expression data analysis, pathway and regulatory network reconstruction of dementia and cancer. She has published about 20 papers indexed by SCI/EI. In recent years, she has been in charge of many grants including 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 1 scientific innovation project supported by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission,1 Foundation of Science and Technology phosphor (A Plan) supported by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality and grant of Shanghai Maritime University.
